What's a typical day as a Maintenance Technician? You'll be:
Inspecting and testing machinery and equipment to manufacturer's specifications and requirements.
Diagnosing problems with equipment and machinery necessary to determine repair or maintenance need.
Working with other maintenance team members to gain and share knowledge.
Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts.
Cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repairing and replacing gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the establishment.
Fabricating and repairing counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
Assisting with electrical, plumbing, and piping installations.
Monitoring and regenerating the deionizer water system.
Performing other duties as required.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have one to two years of experience in a manufacturing company's maintenance department.
Have knowledge of basic electrical wiring, plumbing, and piping functions.
Are able to follow all health and safety rules and regulations of the company.
Are able to work effectively with hand tools.
Are able to read, write, and comprehend English language.
Have basic math skills.
Are able to work in confined spaces.
Are able to work in extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).
Are able to constantly bend, twist, extend hands above head, etc.
